Copper Tail Golden Retrievers
puppy info
Our puppies are raised in home, and are provided with round the clock care. We follow a strict early enrichment schedule so our puppies join their new families comfortable with; nail trims, baths, ear cleanings, loud noises, crates, and handling. We start potty training at roughly three weeks old when they become fully mobile to create an easier transition. When weather allows, we introduce puppies to all terrains and environments on our property.
At 7 weeks of age, all puppies are examined by a veterinarian and given their first DHPP vaccines. Their new families will be responsible for the remaining vaccines. The exception to this is if we are caring for the puppy past 10 weeks old, we will then provide the next round of vaccines. We require our puppies to be vaccinated for Rabies, Distemper, Parvovirus, and Bordetella by their new families. This is due to the increasing rates of infection, especially in young puppies. We strongly recommend vaccinating for Leptospirosis and Lyme due to the exposure in our area (wildlife and ticks).
Each of our puppies is sent to their new home with AKC registration paperwork for limited registration. Limited registration allows you to enroll your pup, but does not give you rights to breed. Under no circumstances will a puppy be sold with breeding rights.
Additionally, puppies are sent home with an introductory packet including; veterinary records, a 1-year health guarantee of genetic disorders, pet insurance information, new puppy medical checklist, and continued enrichment/potty training guide. Our puppies are considered our family from the moment they are born, to the date of their passing and beyond. We are reachable and available to support new families at any point of owning a Copper Tail Golden Retriever puppy.
